Description: City and County of Honolulu, HI is employing HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER III (EM-05) (Occ... right now, this position will be placed in Hawaii. As head of the Health Services Branch, this position is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the branch, including ! the formulation of policies and procedures for the City's pre-employment and annual physical examination and medical assessment programs, the planning, evaluation and implementation of employee wellness programs, and representing the Assistant Director of Human Resources in the overall management of personnel, budget and administrative functions of the branch. Additionally, this position provides administrative oversight of the Employee Assistance Program.

***Salary $6,213 - $7,500 per month (EM-05) salary negotiable based on experience and pending approval***

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT :
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university; graduation from a school or training program approved by the Hawaii Board of Medical Examiners for licensure as a Physician Assistant, or possession of! a master's degree in clinical nursing or nursing science recognized by the Hawaii Board of Medical Examiners for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (A.P.R.N.) in the practice specialty area of Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT :
Five years of work experience which involved the performance of direct medical examinations and assessments of individual health conditions, including one year of responsible experience in planning, organizing, coordinating, or implementing medical assessment activities in a medical program.

Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of general medicine, including diagnosis and assessment of various health conditions that relate to an individual’s ability to perform the essential functions and job requirements of various classes of work; and the ability to plan, organize and coordinate the work of others; conduct complete physi! cal examinations and evaluate the physical capabilities of current or p! rospective employees in relation to the physical abilities required for a particular job; and recognize symptoms of and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries as they relate to an individual’s ability to perform the essential functions and job requirements of various classes of work.

License Requirement :
Active State of Hawaii Physician Assistant License or active State of Hawaii Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (A.P.R.N.) License in the practice specialty area of Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist at the time of application.

Applicants with an out-of-state Physician Assistant License or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (A.P.R.N.) License in the practice specialty area of Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist must obtain a Hawaii license prior to appointment.

License in the! practice specialty area of Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist within 7 days of filing this application.
