Emergency Room Nurse - Emergency Nurse - (ER RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8/12! D/N
This ER is/is not a designated trauma center. Typical cases include cardiac, pulmonary, thoracic, neuro, urology, GI, psych, ortho, plastics, GYN, and pediatrics.
The role of the emergency room nurse (ER RN) is to care for patients suffering from trauma or illness that requires emergency attention. The ER RN must recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions, with the ability to deploy rapid assessment and treatment of patients in highly critical situations, particularly during the initial phase of acute illness and trauma, where every second is important. Emergency nurses must possess knowledge about healthcare on general and specific levels and provide quality care to patients of all ages. Additionally, the ER RN must be prepared to treat a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, ranging from a fever to a heart attack.
