Straub is a complete health care system, which means the
primary care physicians, specialist physicians, clinics
and hospital staff are all part of the same
organization. The organization offers a network of
neighborhood clinics on Oahu, Lanai, and visiting
specialists on the Big Island as well as the services of
nearly 200 physician specialists. The Intensive Care
Unit (ICU) is designed for patients whom require acute,
intensive nursing intervention. Intensive nursing
services include: assessment, procedure assistance,
treatment/intervention as directed by the medical staff,
patient and family education, and post operative
anesthesia care.
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care
through assessment, planning, implementation,
! evaluation, and documentation of patient care. Functions
a! s an associate to a charge nurse and begins to assume
charge nurse responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications: Must meet education requirements
for Hawai’i state licensing. Current Hawai’i RN license.
Current BLS/HCP card. ACLS. PALS. One year recent
registered nurse experience in a critical care setting.
Preferred: Two years recent registered nurse experience
in ICU. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. IABP Datascope
skills. CRRT - Prisma skills. Trained in Hemodynam! ic
Monitoring with swan ganz catheters, EVDs, post
craniotomy patients, and open heart. Neurosurgery
experience.
