About Position:
ARAMARK Healthcare is seeking a Food Production Manager for a 162 bed Acute Care and Long Term Care Hospital in Wahiawa, Hawaii. This person will manage a new production program.
Plans, administers and directs all food activities related to food production operations, complying with the standards established by ARAMARK Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client.
Leads food production staff. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for residents, visitors and employees.
Delivers strong operationa! l performance by executing against ARAMARK Healthcare and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service.
Drives resident and customer satisfaction, and maintains client relationships through rounding.
Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance of the department to include the front line staff regarding food presentation, quality, cost control and food safety and sanitation.
Manages and controls resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply and cost control within budgetary guidelines.
Responsible for managing the process of purchasing, receiving, scheduling, inventory control and managing food production activities in compliance with ARAMARK Healthcare food production systems.
Assists in menu planning, pre-costing and post-costing.
Qu! alifications:
Position requires a culinary degree or certification, Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree plus a minimum of 2 years management experience.
Requires small to large food and catering operations experience (preferably in the healthcare industry).
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service is critical to the success of this role.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required.
P&L accountability and/or experience with contract management service company is preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with clients, customers,managers, and support staff.
Ability to work with confidential employee, client and Aramark information is required.
