Under the direction of the Director of Strategic & Business Development, the QExA Administrator is responsible for the development and implementation of new programs that support AlohaCareâs mission, vision, and values and that grow its business.
The administrator must understand the challenges from both the external environment and from our internal organization that are presented by a new program initiative.
With each initiative, the administrator must ensure that the staff, systems, processes, and resources of AlohaCare are aligned to meet the needs of our external and internal customers and to maintain our strategic advantage in the marketplace.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Research, identify, and pursue growth strategies that align with our organizational goals.
Functions as primary liaison between AlohaCare and MQD QExA program staff.
Present new program plans to external and internal audiences.
Develop proposals and grants in response to identified market opportunities.
Accountable for the successful start-up of AlohaCareâs QExA line of business.
Work with external and internal stakeholders to ensure readiness prior to new program implementation by:
securing adequate partners, staffing, and systems capabilities and capacities;
developing initial training materials (staff, provider, and customer) and distribution;
developing communication and marketing materials and distribution;
developing performance metrics and accountability processes.
Provides leadership and/or acts as project leader with responsibility to coordinate efforts of managers and employees to accomplish assigned QExA unit and/or Corporate objectives.
Accountable for developing and monitoring QExA unit plans, goals, and budgets.
Transition new program administration duties and responsibilities to existing stakeholders once steady state performance is achieved.
Keeps the Director of Strategic & Business Development and periodically the Leadership Team apprised of major projects and significant operational duties.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed and directed by the Director of Strategic & Business Development.
Required Competencies and Qualifications:
Five years experience in the development and implementation of new programs.
Seven years experience working in Hawaiiâs health care industry with particular emphasis in home and community based long term care.
Strong ability to develop and execute a project plan, timeline, and metrics.
Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills;
willing to be tested in these areas.
Strong integrity, initiative, independence, organization, and efficiency in approach to work.
Strong critical thinking ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and formulate solutions.
Strong professional presence in leading meetings and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and senior staff.
Able to travel 25-50 percent of the time on-island and occasionally to neighbor islands and the mainland as needed; also, willing to work out of home as needed.
Valid driverâs license and access to vehicle for off-site tasks.
Preferred Competencies and Qualifications
Extensive work experience in:
coordinating internal projects across multiple operating departments including senior management;
coordinating externally in the community with a broad range of health care and social service agencies;
coordinating with government agencies;
writing grants, proposals, training materials, and marketing materials; and,
creating and delivering oral presentations.
Specific competencies and qualifications related to upcoming new program initiatives.
Required Licensure/Certification/Education:
Master's degree in health or health-related field
OR
combination of education, professional training, and/or work experience which demonstrates the health background to perform the functions of this position.
Licensed as a registered nurse or clinical social worker
OR
combination of education, professional training, and/or work experience which demonstrates the background with the delivery of patient care and/or social/behavioral services to perform the functions of this position.
