Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Telecommunications and Social Informatics Research Program (TASI), located at Universi! ty of Hawaii Manoa in Honolulu, Hawaii. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.
MINIMUM MONTHLY SALARY: $2,024/Mon.
DUTIES: Part of a team that plans, implements, and provides support for an open source Electronic Health Record that automates the capture of clinical encounter information. Assists in planning the customization of the site parameters for the system and assists in addressing integration issues with other software packages by obtaining information and identifying interface needs. Assists in coordinating with executive, technical, and clinical staff to implement integrated packages, resolve conflicts, provide secondary support on related software. Works collaboratively with programmers in local testing of software, identifying software problems or procedural issues, and requesting enhancements.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s! Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in, Nursing, Information and Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, or other related field. EXPERIENCE: At least six (6) months of experience in the field of healthcare informatics (clinical, nursing, or allied health) or providing health information technology support. ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS: Working knowledge of PC software: MS Office. Working knowledge of database usage. Knowledge of current healthcare industry privacy regulations. Able to communicate well both orally and in writing.
SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to explore new concepts, to plan and implement projects. Ability to improve operations through the analysis and revision of workflow processes. Knowledge of Electronic Health Record Systems.
