This position is located in the Labor/Employee Relations Department, Human Resources Office (HRO HI), at Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT). The HRO provides services to various COMPACFLT activities whose serviced population includes positions in varying occupational group and grades, and of varying complexities. You will serve as a senior Labor Advisor providing the full range of labor and employee relations support to customer commands requiring work with a number of bargaining units and negotiated agreements. You must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. DUTIES:
Serving as lead management representative or providing assistance to management in hearings before the Merit Systems Protection Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Arbitration, Federal Labor Relations Authority or unemployment appeals
Preparing and presenting management's case before the various third party administrative process
Serving as an authority on labor relations matters for customer commands and as a member of management teams to negotiate collective bargaining agreements
Advising all levels of supervisors in achieving positive discipline and in studying the human relations aspect of the discipline problem
Assisting in the resolution and preparation of documents for! formal grievances QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience must demonstrate! the following: serving as an Employee Relations and/or Labor Relat! ions Advisor with experience researching and advising on applicable laws, policies and organizational precedents relating to labor/employee relations; advising managers on disciplinary/adverse actions; and working with bargaining units and/or negotiated agreements to support customer commands.

REQUIREMENTS:
