The CFN will work under supervision of Medical Director and Management team. The CFN will be directly involved with planning, coordinating, and overseeing the pa! tient management services and administrative activities of AMR AIR air-medical transports. When system demands, the CFN will be required help fill open shifts as a Flight Nurse.

Supervision:
The CFN works under the medical direction of the Medical Director(s) regarding patient care; and under the supervision of the management team regarding all non-patient care issues.

Responsibilities:
Recruitment of AMC as well as hiring process.

Supervises and coordinates the AMC and patient care activities of the AMR AIR flight program.

Assist Medical Director(s), and Management Team with the development and implementation of medical policies and procedures for the program, ensure that all procedures are consistent with program objectives and conform to established environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.

Works with Medical Directors, management team, and all staff in order to facilitate growth and succ! ess of the AMR AIR air-transport team. Acts as a direct liaiso! n between AMC, Medical Directors, and Management Team.

Assist in the maintaining and meeting of accreditation and certification requirements.

Assists with development and implementing continuing education opportunities.

Enhances professional growth and development through encouragement of participation from all AMC in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops, etc.

Serves as liaison and provides consultation with all components of the air medical flight program regarding related issues, regulations, policy, procedures and standards.

Responsible for trending and tracking on sensitive and confidential issues. Any noted exceptions will be brought to the attention of the management team for further review.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the AMR AIR Program Director or management team.

Assists in the development and maintenance of clinical operation and admi! nistrative procedures including, but not limited to;

Supplies Management

Equipment Management

Documentation requirements

Annual AMC performance review

Discipline of AMC

Narcotic inventory control and tracking

Medical forms development and review

Staff meeting agenda and minutes

Safety and CQI Committee participation

Responsibility for documentation compliance of non AMR AIR Patient flight records.

Function and fill shifts as a Flight Nurse when system demands

Leadership Criteria:
Must have the ability to supervise all AMC in a professional manner.

The CFN will set an example for professional behavior and strive to lead by example for behavior expectations of the AMC.

Demonstrate clinical competency and set high standards for other AMC.

Serves as liaison between AMC and Medical Directors and/or management team.

CFN will of! fer leadership and support to all AMC and other employees of AMR AIR.
CFN must have the ability to ensure confidentiality and discretion for sensitive matters.

CFN will demonstrate behavior that reflects integrity, supports objectivity, and fosters trust especially among management and the AMC.

Previous experience in education, CQI and safety committees preferred.

Research:
CFN may delegate research project(s) to Education Coordinator or management team for improvement of the flight program.

Professional Conduct:
Demonstrate behavior that reflects integrity, supports objectivity, and fosters trust.

Comply with all state and federal laws, especially those which govern and relate to your Professional Practice Act.
