Summer Camp Nurse

Location: Waialua, Hawaii

Position Summary:

The purpose of theHealth Directoris to plan and carry out a total program of health and safety for the camp staff and campers that will contribute to the goals and objectives of camp.

Fun ctions and Duties include but are not limited to:

• Administer health screening for arriving campers, and inform counselors of limitations or special conditions of their campers.
• Administer all medications and treatments according to physicians’ order and keep all records of all such treatment. Be responsible for any drugs, medications and first-aid kits brought to camp by campers or staff for use as directed by physician of the camper/staff.
• Guide other staff in their responsibilities in noting and reporting illnesses, injury and unsafe practices and conditions that might contribute to camper and staff accidents. Also, instruct other staff about noting irregular eating habits, and any symptoms of disturbance.
• Check the living quarters and camp for health and safety conditions. Make recommendations to Camp Administration if necessary.
• Keep other staff informed of admissions to infirmary.

Salary: $350.00 to $400.00 /week

Experience:

• Summer Camp: 1 year (Preferred)

License or certification:

• RN (Required)
