Description:
Cardiac Invasive Services (CIS/Cath lab) is a 4-procedure room unit specifically designed to perform invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
Procedures are performed on both inpatients and outpatients who have a cardiovascular condition requiring an invasive procedure. Cardiac Invasive Services regular hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The unit is closed on weekends and holidays observed by the Medical Center. As workload dictates, elective procedures can be performed until 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday. All other times are reserved for urgent or emergency procedures and are done by the emergency or on-call team.
Cardiac catheterization services are provided to patients who range in age from teenagers to geriatrics.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 yrs Cath Lab RN experience in a high volume/intensity cath lab.
- Must have ICU experience.
- Must take afterhours call.
- Level I or II Trauma Center preferred.
- Valid BLS-HCP and ACLS. Cannot expire within the first ! 3 months of employment.
- 16 week contract
- Day! shift
- Must be flexible working up to 40 hrs/wk
- Must PASS our EKG Competency Exam with 80% during the 1st week of orientation to remain in the position.
