Under indirect supervision, recruits clients for cosmetic services; develops brochures and other promotional material; provides aesthetician services including fa! cial peels, skin care consultations, and microdermabrasion; creates sales and service reports; coordinates and maintains inventory of skin care products; provides in-services as needed; supports compliance and Principles of Responsibility; maintains confidentiality; protects organizational assets; exhibits ethics and integrity; adheres to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements, policies and procedures; reports and/or resolves issues of non-compliance.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direct aesthetician services, including facial peels, skin care consultations, patient education, and microdermabrasion, maintaining high quality service and patient satisfaction; recommends and sells appropriate skin care products, maintaining high quality service and patient satisfaction
  • Actively promotes and coordinates sales of skin care products, ensuring customer needs are met; works directly with vend! ors and keeps accurate inventory; monitors monthly financial s! tatements, maintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures inventory is secure at all times; provides monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting of product sales and patient care activities
  • Actively recruits clients for cosmetic services by interacting with physicians, staff, members, and non-members; communicates effectively and professionally; markets and promotes recommended skin products and services
  • Develops displays and hand-outs to promote services; maintains product supplies and brochures including those used in physician offices
  • Generates revenue to support position
  • Keeps marketing data and statistics; provides feedback on what strategies are working and what can be improved; collects competitive marketing information and recommends improvements as needed
  • Establishes standards for area; assists in development and documentation of department policies and procedures; assists in recommending and implementing solutions
  • Provides group education classes/seminars and in-services for staff members regarding skin care products and services
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills; moderates difficult customers and provides workable solutions; responds expediently and regularly to customer questions; monitors and evaluates quality through patient follow-up calls and patient surveys
  • Travels to other clinics on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Assists physician, nurse, and ancillary staff as appropriate and requested
  • Demonstrates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities in area of specialization
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide culturally sensitive care and/or service
  • Adheres to and maintains current knowledge of Principles of Responsibility, applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements, policies and procedures; reports and/or resolves issues of non-co! mpliance
  • On regular, sustained basis, cooperates with other st! aff members both within and outside department in accomplishment of own job duties as well as assisting others in accomplishing theirs; serves as team player and role model for other employees in organization always exhibiting traits of courtesy, caring, helpfulness and respect; conducts self in service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind when dealing with members, visitors, public and all employees
  • Performs other duties and accepts responsibility as assigned
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • One year of experience providing aesthetician services
  • High school diploma
  • Valid Hawaii State Esthetician or Cosmetologist license (must meet education requirement(s) for Hawaii State licensure)
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated sales experienc! e with products and services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability , customer service, group presentations, interpersonal relations, oral communication, quality management, teamwork and written communication
