Director of Oncology - Bone Marrow Transplant Services - RN St. David's South Austin Medical Center has an immediate need for a Director of Oncology - Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Services in A! ustin, TX. The Director of Oncology - BMT Services is responsible for creating and overseeing all clinical operations for the Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Program. He/she should execute sound, clinical business strategy to promote service, relationships, and volume.
In addition, he/she is responsible for meeting internal requirements as set forth by the transplant steering committee as well as meeting external requirements regarding transplant services as defined by all regulatory organizations. He/she will work closely with physicians to ensure high quality services are provided by the program.*SIGN-ON BONUS, RELOCATION AND HIGHLY COMPETITIVE SALARY AND BENEFITS PACKAGE*RESPONSIBILITIES Increases oncology/transplant revenue and profitability by growing clinic and wait list volumes and spin-off activity. Provides leadership and oversight for BMT Clinical Supervisors, ensuring the proper tools, resources, and environment to carry out their responsibilities, i! ncluding operating within compliance of, Medicare, and UNOS re! gulations. Develops and oversees an adequate recruitment, training, education and competency program for BMT staff.
Develops with Clinical Supervisors adequate QA/PI plans for each respective area and holding Supervisors accountable for ensuring that plans, goals, and targets are achieved; serves as content expert on policies and procedures where appropriate. Achieves and maintains high standards of patient and referring physician satisfaction in regards to BMT clinical program and responds accordingly when complaints arise. Works effectively with program Medical Director, ensuring strong lines of communication and follow-up, and jointly addressing and resolving issues proactively as they are identified. Develops and maintains an operating budget for department and participates in routine budget reviews with Senior Leader.
Works as part of a team, to take instructions from Senior Leader, to exercise problem-solving skills and to interact with all customers! , including coworkers, in a professional and pleasant manner. Assists with development and/ or update of policies and procedures. Supports the mission and vision of St. David's Healthcare and demonstrates excellent customer service at all times.

Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function. Completes other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required: BSN or Master's Degree is preferred Registered Nurse license by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or is able to obtain within 90 days of hire Two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a Bone Marrow Transplant Unit required, one of which must be management experience ABOUT US St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a member of St. David's HealthCare.
