Located on 14.5 park-like acres, Kahi Mohala's 88-bed facility is Hawaii's only private, freestanding psychiatric hospital. Kahi Mohala provides comprehensive behavioral health services for adults, adolescent! s and children experiencing problems with psychiatric disorders, alcohol and drug abuse, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, emotional disturbances and work of family relationship challenges. The buildings and grounds offer a complete residential environment with an emphasis on patient safety and security.

The Nursing Supervisor provides leadership, supervision and evaluation of all call-in and float RN and MHS staff members. Develops and maintains positive employee relations and effective communication while serving as an educational resource. Supervises hospital-wide nursing care provided to patients on a specific shift, consistent with hospital philosophy and related quality of patient care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or otherwise qualified for licensure as an RN in the State of Hawaii. Must possess and maintain Hawaii licensure or interim permit to practice as a Registered Nurse. Bachelor's degree preferred. !

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in! a medical/surgical or psychiatric facility required. Good pharmacology, principles of psychiatric and medical/surgical nursing; knowledge of legal aspects of nursing. Knowledge of Human Resource policies and regulations. Prior demonstrated leadership skills in a nursing setting required. Demonstrated ability to work as a member

of a team and to communicate effectively with others.
