Our Perioperative Transition team provides professional nursing care as part of our Perioperative Services continuum, and provides full support throughout the duration of a patient's surgical procedure, including ward admission, anesthesia and recovery. Professional care includes identification of the patient’s individual needs, patient care plan development and implementation and the coordination of nursing service to restore the patient’s health after a surgical procedure! . The unit is open on nights, weekends and holidays to best take care of the patient’s needs.

As the Registered Nurse â€" Perioperative Transition, you will have the opportunity to cater to the surgical patient’s pre-operative healthcare needs, personal comfort and convenience. The highly trained team is also charged with many critical tasks for the care of post-anesthesia and post-operative patients including monitoring vital signs, and managing post-operative pain .

Work Schedule: Day - 12 Hours

Exempt: No

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai’i Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PAL! S) CPR cards. Two (2) years recent registered nurse experience in Post ! Anesthesia Care Unit, Emergency Room or Intensive Care Unit.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN). Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CPR card.
