This position is located in the Requirements Directorate (N431) of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Fleet Maintenance (N43). As a Business and Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the efforts of the PACFLT Maintenance Requirements Manager in the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of the Fleet Maintenance Program. KEY REQUIREMENTS

You must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. DUTIES:

As a Business and Financial! Analyst , your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing operating budgets to determine financial resource allocations for ship maintenance programs.
  • Preparing financial forecasts and/or projections to obtain ship maintenance program resources.
  • Establishing financial performance objectives for ship maintenance programs in accordance with strategic business plans. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:

GS-13: Have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level (GS-12) in Federal service or equivalent public or private sector providing business and/or financial guidance regarding ship maintenance; managing financial resources to support program requirements; and ensuring department financial actions are in compliance with laws and/or regulations.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:
A Secret security clearance is a requirement of this position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal. If you possess a security clearance, please indicate the level and termination date in your resume.

Selectee will be required to do normal lifting (less than 15 pounds) and routing office functions.

Different assignments will require the selectee to tour various types of naval vessels which will include traversing the brow and climbing one or more ladders.

Selectee will be required to travel to some oversea locations. Such assignments will not provide for the accompaniment of dependents.
Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

You will be rated under Category Rating procedures based on the extent to which your experience meets the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for the position and rated as shown below.
