This position is located in the Fuel distribution System Branch, Facilities Division, Fuel Department, Fleet Logistics Center Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The division is responsible for the overall facilities planning and maintenance operations for the command, including Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) funded maintenance, Military Construction (MILCON) and special facility projects. The purpose of this position is to apply a variety of methods, procedures and techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul and maintain various types of complex non-production industrial plant machinery, equipment and systems in support of the Fuel Department . Relocation expenses are not authorized. DUTIES:
Maintain and repair general industrial plant machinery and equipment.
Set up and operate machine tools to manufacture component parts or re-machine existing parts.
Operate one or more specialized stations in a fuel distribution system performing a single operation to receive, store, issue and maintain control of ground and/or aircraft fuel and lube oils. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of an Industrial Equipment Mechanic without more than normal supervision such as: : Experience performing the duties of an Industrial Equipment Mechanic; applying a variety of methods, procedures and techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul and maintain various types of non-production industrial plant machinery, equipment and systems, such as portable pumps, portable generators, air compressors and fire doors; performing preventive maintenance on systems used to store, distribute and dispense conventional fuels; disassembling and reassembling machinery to replace faulty parts; using hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and have operated portable and stationary power tools; using blueprints, dia! grams and drawings to layout work; using arithmetic and standard handbook formulas to determine dimensional tolerances; operating specialized stations in a fuel distribution system; work is spot checked by my supervisor or a higher graded employee; following safety and security procedures and regulations when working with chemicals and disposing of hazardous waste.
