Wilcox Memorial Hospital
and Kauai Medical Clinic comprise the Wilcox Health System. As the largest and only integrated health care delivery system on Kauai, Wilcox and the Kauai
Medical Clinics serve approximately 70 percent of the island.
The Registered Nurse - Clinic is responsible for providing professional nursing care under supervision for clinic patients thereby insuring quality service, and for upholding the mission, vision and values of the Kauai Medical Clinic.

Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications:
Current HawaiÂ'i licensure (RN) and current BLS CPR certification. Graduate of an accredited school
of nursing, meeting the requirements of the HawaiÂ'i Board of Nursing for licensure. Knowledge of principles and skills needed for registered nursing, to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures; medications and their effects on patients; patient education principles to develop a self-care program; using various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures, and common safety
hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. A clear understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern patient/provider relationship. Able to administer a variety of treatments and medications as directed; take vital signs; maintain quality control solutions; react calmly and effectively in emergency situations; interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures, and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Communicate clearly. Familiarity with keyboard. Learn to operate automated systems and office equipment, learn insurance referral/authorization procedure to facilitate patient care.
